Happy 2025!

I can’t believe we are already at another new year! Things are going by at an increased speed these days even more so as I get older it seems. Speaking of that I will be turning the big 5 0 this year! It doesn’t feel like that’s real either. Most days I still feel young until my body tells me otherwise. I’d have to say so far that’s the worst thing about getting older, the changes your body goes through. My brain is always doing more than my body will allow.

As the year came to a close I did something I haven’t done in along time which is take time off. I took off a week and half through New Years to get some much needed rest. 2024 was really a doozy in more ways than one. A lot of celebrations and victories but just as many heartbreaks. Also with rushing finish my studio and launch the art again I needed a little break. It didn’t mean I could let up though. I still plugged away at making art and working on the Youtube videos. If that wasn’t enough I through in an art challenge into the mix. So I’m doing a January Junk Journal challenge where different artists provide a prompt for every day of the month. I’m doing that and posting on all my socials. It’s giving me practice with content creating as well.

I began work on my “Who I am in Christ” art. I’m taking 93 paintings I made in 2020 and redo them in my favorite format collage and then posting them on YouTube. I thought this would be a great project to do and help me consistently post content to Youtube of what I’m making and give me practice at producing and editing videos. It’s a learning experience for sure but I feel like I’m getting a little better at it each time!
